Community service is a concept where a person or group of people use their knowledge, skills, and resources to provide direct benefits to society or a particular community. The purpose of community service is to improve the quality of life of the community, improve social, economic, environmental, or cultural conditions, and promote social justice.
The Department of Electronics and Informatics Engineering Education organizes research and Community Service (PKM) for the needs of the Research Group. The Vocational Curriculum and learning center (VCL) Research Group Team is chaired by Prof. Dr. Drs. Putu Sudira, MP, Dr. Nuryake Fajaryati, S.Pd.T., M.Pd, Pipit Utami, S.Pd.T., M.Pd., Rangga Bayu Rinawan, M.Pd, Yussi Anggraini, M.Pd. The implementation of PKM activities was carried out at SMKN 2 Wonosobo on April 22, 2024. The RG team raised the title of "'TRAINING IMPLEMENTATION OF OCCUPATIONAL, CAREER, AND PROFESSIONAL AWARENESS OF SMK GRADUATES THROUGH LEARNING". This activity aims at its urgency for the development of vocational education and improving teacher competence. The final results of this PKM activity will be in the form of RPS results from teachers which include occupational, career, and professional indicators of SMK graduates. In addition, there are also handbooks or tutorials for several learning media to improve teacher competence at SMKN 2 Wonosobo.
Based on this explanation, it is necessary to increase the role of teachers in guiding students to develop career identity and career competence. Teachers are expected to help students evaluate their qualities and skills, prepare them to face the challenges of a dynamic job market, and train them in making the right career choices. with this training, it is hoped that it will make it easier for teachers to be able to apply it to a series of classroom learning processes that are integrated with occupations, careers and professions of graduates.
